Megan and Nathaniel are getting married this weekend!!! We are so excited to share their Kennedy Space Center engagement session on the blog today! Where do we start with these two?! We first met them back in April, knowing we just HAD to photograph them at Kennedy…in a rocket garden…in space suits. It was a nerd dream come true for Matthew and I! After Skyping, we knew these two were something special. They both work at NASA, Nathaniel as an Electrical Engineer and Megan as an Engineering Co-op at Kennedy Space Center. To just be around their intelligence is a privilege:) Needless to say, they are perfect for each other! When Nathaniel proposed, they knew the only place that they wanted to have their wedding was at Kennedy Space Center, with the Rocket Garden in the background. Perfection! It was also settled that we needed an engagement session in and around the Space Center, so a trip was planned Matthew and I drove to Florida to meet them first at the Astronaut Hall of Fame with the replica of the shuttle. Instantly when we pulled up, we knew we were meant to photograph them, they were warm and welcoming and had NASA space suit costumes! We spent a good deal of time hanging with them there and photographing at such an amazing building and backdrop. After, we headed to Kennedy Space Center where we photographed the Rocket Garden and the capsule where they had their first date picture (upside down and all:). It was Matthew and my first time there and we were not disappointed! Around every corner there was something to see. The best surprise was when we were trying to beat the heat and landed in a galaxy gallery. Beautiful, beautiful backdrop!!Overall, our time was spent geeking out over their NASA stories and their behind the scenes tour they gave us. We cannot wait for this weekend where we can celebrate their love for each other! Congratulations you two crazy kids!
