Happy 2016! Best of Peach and Oak Photography Weddings 2015

Happy New Year!! It’s been a minute since we sat down to write a blog, but since New Year’s Resolutions are running wild, we thought we would start by fulfilling ours right away. Before we showcase our gorgeous couples from 2015 , we want to recap how amazing 2015 was for us!

* went from 11 weddings (2014) to 22 weddings!

*cultivated a business and a relationship

*photographed in 4 states (Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee)

*Got Engaged!!! (Wedding Date: 10/29/2016…and no, we haven’t found a wedding photographer yet..yikes!:)

*Lived in a swanky 7th floor apt overlooking Downtown Atlanta

This year we happily drove 50+ hours to photograph our couples, endured rain, rain, and more rain, experienced one horrified (yet later funny) moment that our car was stuck in the mud at a venue, photographed in awe at a Rocket Garden at Kennedy Space Center. We had the honor of photographing: A St. Augustine, Florida wedding during the holidays; a beautiful fairy-tale woodland wedding; a plantation home where the horses were the friendliest we had ever seen; a Roswell tradition of a carriage ride downtown; a lovely backyard wedding with plenty of personal touches; an incredibly friendly Bulldog who slipped out of her leash when walking down the aisle; lanterns/fireworks/sparklers all at the same wedding; a one in a million “Pi Day” wedding; celebrated intimate elopements; a lovely barn wedding with the most amazing sunset that stopped each guest in their tracks; a posh Downtown Atlanta wedding near Piedmont Park; and gorgeous Chattanooga Riverfront portraits. The flowergirls had the cutest curls, the ring bearers wore the most adorable suspenders. Bridesmaids filled the day with laughter and fun, while the groomsmen were a bit mischievous. The brides were simply stunning and the grooms were all handsome gentlemen.

It was, without a doubt, one of the most challenging and fulfilling year of our life so far. We tried, failed, learned, failed, then learned again. Our business grew and with it came new obstacles. We had to admit a lot to ourselves about where we are as business owners and ponder a future where we only photograph and not have “day” jobs. But in the end, the thing that made it all worth it at the end of the day, was witnessing 22 couples pledge to love and cherish each other for the rest of their lives. That is such a beautiful thing, to share in all of that love. Our love is better because of it. Thank you.
