Rose and Adam as such a brilliant and amazing couple! They planned their wedding at the Del’Avant Center is La Grange, Georgia, which was the PERFECT backdrop for their vintage themed wedding. The center itself used to be the Kress and McLellan five and dime store with all the charm and character of the turn of the century still intact. Rose and Adam are extremely intelligent individuals, with Rose as a science teacher and Adam as an engineer, there was no shortage of science jokes and random references during the wedding day. At their ceremony, they invited couples at various stages of their marriage and they shared their words of wisdom for them going forward. They read their own vows with references to Cosmos and Carl Sagan, which made Matthew and I both giddy with delight. Congratulation to you both on your beautiful wedding day and your equally beautiful marriage!

When Morgan and Aubrey contacted me about their engagement session at the North Carolina Museum of Art that also involved long board skateboarding, I was immediately sold! We met on a wonderful North Carolina summer night, not too hot, but I definitely wanted a large sweet tea after the session. We toured around the Art Park and started right around the reflecting pool and gorgeous glass tunnel leading to the other art museum building. Morgan and Aubrey were so sweet together as they told us about how they met and fell in love. They both were instantly drawn to each other’s humor and spontaneous personalities. We had a great time taking our formal portraits, but we soon changed gears and they brought out their long boards. The gorgeous  “Gyre” sculpture provided a great backdrop to their skate boarding and we moved around to the pond and lovely weeping willow trees (which Morgan proclaimed was her favorite tree:). Matthew and I had such a great time getting to know them both and experiencing some great art in the process. Congratulations Morgan and Aubrey on your engagement, we cannot wait to photograph your wedding in September!

I absolutely ADORE seaside weddings! A beach wedding has such a romantic, light, and fun feel to them. That is exactly the feeling Ashley and Matt wanted for their wedding day. Along with their friends and family, Matt and Ashley exchanged vows at the beautiful King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort. The weather was hot in St. Simon Island, Georgia, but the breeze off the water made for a pleasant evening. In the distance loomed a large thunderhead, but as soon as it approached the shore and the resort, it was like the cloud knew there was a wedding, and the sky turned blue just in time for their ceremony. Ashley and Matt chose to do a “first look” before the ceremony,  and I am so glad they did! They were incredibly blown away with how each other looked and were so happy to be together in that moment. It was a very special and tender way to connect with each other before the rest of the day ahead. Matthew (my wonderful second photographer and boyfriend) and I had a blast spending a weekend in St. Simon with Ashley and Matt, their wedding was truly romantic and beautiful! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Wallace!

As I am learning my way around Atlanta and the surrounding areas, I am THRILLED to explore new places with my photography. Nick and Megan contacted me and wanted to take their engagement photos around Lake Lanier. I could not have been happier! We met at one of the many trails there where we strolled, talked, and laughed while we took in the natural beauty of the area. Nick and Megan are super sweet together and told me all about their children (which whom they LOVE and cherish:) and their very special first date. It was the “eyes” that had it, they both fell in love with each others eyes and now they are totally head over heels in love with each other. Nick and Megan, Congratulations on your engagement and I am so excited to photograph your November wedding!

When I met Casey for our first meeting, it was such a fun experience. She and her future mother-in-law were so excited for their wedding plans and I could just tell Casey was enamored with her future husband. This same energy was seen when we met for their engagement photo session at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park. Casey and Daniel were such a delight to work with and even humored me and my wacky requests (Go stand by that log and close your eyes:) The beautiful gardens were a great backdrop to showcase Casey and Daniel’s love for each other. This wonderful couple has true love written all over their photos! Congratulations Casey and Daniel, I cannot wait to photograph your wedding this October!
