This past May, I spent a rainy Friday photographing Shari and Johnnie’s wedding day. Shari and Johnnie chose St. Augustine for a destination wedding because they loved the area by the water and the historical feel of the city itself. They both have vibrant and wonderful personalities, which made their wedding day so amazing to be a part of. The chose the gorgeous River House for their ceremony and reception. Even though the rain didn’t allow for their outdoor nuptials, the beautiful ballroom at the River House was an amazing place to hold their wedding indoors. Family, friends, and love was the theme of their wedding and you could tell they valued each and every person that they invited to be with them on their amazing day, and I was extremely fortunate to have been there capturing it all! Congratulations Shari and Johnnie, many blessings on your marriage!

For those who do not know, I am moving to the great state of GEORGIA at the end of this week:) I thought I may celebrate with a tribute to the Peach State! I had the chance to photograph in a peach/pecan orchard with Ashley and Matt on a humid Saturday evening. We met at Lane Orchards, which is a series treat of a place if you have not been there (I will be back for their peach ice cream!) They were the picture of Southern perfection with the charm to match. Matt is a true Southern gentleman and it is clear that he loves Ashley with all his heart. Ashley was clearly smitten with him as well and they truly could not stop smiling and joking with each other.  I had such a fun time with them both, despite the humidity(sheesh…can’t a girl get a breeze and an iced tea around here?) I cannot wait for their St. Simon Island wedding at the end of this month, it is just another part of Georgia that I am thrilled to explore! Congratulations Ashley and Matt, you have a timeless love that will span the decades.

I have been holding onto these precious images since the beginning of May! Sharoda contacted me asking if I would be a “first look” session with her and her husband Joe. They were married first in India with her family and were going to be having a ceremony in Georgia to celebrate their love and marriage with their friends and family here. However, Joe had not seen Sharoda in her traditional Indian wedding attire, so she wanted to do something a little special to surprise him. She looked gorgeous and the images below show that Joe was so taken with her striking beauty. We strolled around Cator Woolford Gardens, where they would be officially have their Georgia ceremony at the end of May. Congratulations on your wedding day Sharoda and Joe. I wish you all the best in your marriage!

I met the wonderful Fix Family on a rainy afternoon. I was a little concerned about the impending weather and if I was able to make sure the family was to get the beach photos that they wanted.  But my fears were for none, because the family was so patient and awesome. The weather even gave us a bit of a break and we were able to achieve some fantastic images! It did, however, start raining on us and we relocated to underneath the St. Augustine Pier. I loved that this family comes down for vacation every year and that they are so close (I initially thought they were a family reunion, but they laughed and said that this was just their typical Sunday). I had such a blast dodging raindrops and getting to see the grandchildren hang out with each other. I hope you enjoy the fabulous Fix Family!
